The Great Codices: Vaticanus and Sinaiticus
Codex Vaticanus and Codex Sinaiticus, copied in the fourth century, are the two oldest substantially complete Greek Bibles known. Cross-checked against thousands of other early manuscripts, they show the Bible's wording was already fixed in essentially its present form within three centuries of the apostles. Vaticanus has been catalogued in the Vatican Library since at least 1475; Sinaiticus was recovered by Tischendorf at St. Catherine's Monastery in 1844 and 1859. Both are now fully digitized.
